Living in the country and not having my car on the road is proving very awkward at times, I have been trying to find a bit of cash in hand work in the local area. A bloke we kinda know gave me a days work yesterday, out in the field, picking courgettes, man, what a job that was.

Imagine the biggest field ever, full of courgettes, i’m talking acres and acres. I spent 7 hours, walking through the plants bending down, cutting them off the plants, putting them to one side, standing back up, moving to the next, and bending back down again. It must have been the longest day of my life, minutes felt like hours, and hours felt like days.

The morning start was fine, it was nice and cool, and I was totally refreshed. As the day went on the legs and back started to ache, the sun came out, it got hotter and hotter, and became unbearable. One thing I have noticed about this place, is when its hot, it becomes very humid, and makes your head feel like its being squeezed between a vice.

After handing what must have been a thousand of these damn things, I finished at 2pm and went straight home, jumped in the bath, checked my emails and went shopping.

After trailing round he local Tesco’s and spotting more mis-modified cars (i.e, something you would see on Barryboys.co.uk), I went back home, unpacked it all, and got stuck into a hot chicken and salad dinner.

Been talking to Olly & Scott aswell today, who have kindly sorted out my car battery for me, collected it from my old house and taken it to my Mums to get charged, as I should be collecting the Polo this week and taking it to the bodyshop, what a nightmare that has been. I’m awaiting a call from the trailer guy to say we can come and get it, its one from the local RAF base that I’ve managed to get the use of.

The rest of the day was spent sorting out the body and tuning website and throwing random rhymes over MSN between me & Binnsey, LOL, however there’s still more to do and I STILL need to finish the site for my friends Construction company. I could do with more content actually, its a bit bare.

Nothing more to blog about really, i’m well tired,but thats nothing new, nite folks.

I’ve been that busy, the blog was the last thing on my mind.

I’ll leave Thursday alone, I was too tired to do anything important, caught up on alot of lost sleep, and cleaned up around my room & office, it was like a building site.

Friday – I went to Peterborough to pick Vicky up, she was coming over for the weekend, as we aint seen each other in a while.

Got to the train station and she was waiting (holdin her pink handbag, and pink carry bag, loves pinks stuff bless her)

We headed back to mine, calling in at a pub for some food on the way back, I had an all day breakfast, didn’t quite fancy a steak which is not like me, but the all dayer was just as nice.

I’m not gonna write about the whole weekend cos it will take ages, but it was a very good one, had time away from working, chilled out, spent some quality time together, went on alot of long long walks, and came across too many loose dogs.

Must be something about living in the country, people leave their dogs loose to run about and scare the shit out of people walking by, we nearly had two heart attacks, I thought we was gonna get chewed up, lol.

We walked through loads of nice little villages along the canal. The houses up here are really nice, I was amazed by the number of people with boats on the back of the house, and the number of people who had pools and trampolines.. The canal runs along the back of all the houses and bungalows, its a real nice area. Was nice to get out and about.

I feel alot for Vicky, she’s a really nice girl, seems different to alot of the others, she’s special.. The time has done us both good.
Not much more to say really, a really nice weekend, lots of time together, made a difference I think, and erm, we had very late nights and made ourselves very tired. I had a lot of energy this weekend, haha.. wink wink

Amongst all this, our lovely american friends decided to close the server down, which lead to me calling Texas and speaking to several answerphones, “thankyou, have a nice day now”, how useless is that, after all the money we pay them, you can’t speak to someone on a Sunday, 24/7 support my arse..

Olly was not on the net, Tony’s internet was down for a few days, how unlucky could we be. Within a few hours, the problem was found and all was hunky dory..

More and more work to do,

I have been speaking to a guy in Ireland for quite some time now who also owns a Polo, and we have been getting on quite well, both in the same boat really, recently split up from the girlfriends and been re-introduced to the self employed world.

He is helping me out with the programming of the MaxxDirectory, its proving quite difficult for me, theres a few things that I just can’t figure out, with a bit of luck, he’ll sort it all and we’ll be back in business. This thing has to be so perfect, I need it to be exactly as I need it, so it works well for the companies out there. PERFECTION is the key.

Not really that much to write about, my days are becoming very repetitive, same shit different day, developing my skills, working on the websites and networking with people findin out more about the internet, whilst spending time with my Dad, rebuildin the lost years.

I’m done for today, gonna give this a break for the next few days, Vicky is coming over on Friday for the weekend, and i’m gonna spend some time with her and chill to the core, and give the eyes and fingers a rest from the PC.

Went out first thing this morning for a bit of shooting, came back as it started to get a bit too warm for my liking.Got back to find my phone port had finally gone through, thank god..

Jumped on the PC about 11am, found myself flicking between Maxxd.com, Myspace, sorting out my shotgun licence and a renewed driving licence application, whilst scowering the internet for legal information, and speaking to several legal advisors and accountants regarding the Limited company.

The day has ran away with me really, not spoken to Olly all day, nor anyone in fact, well sayin that I had a quick chat with Karl about paint, that was about it. Talking of paint, mine came today, all wrapped up like a xmas present, I can’t wait for the car to be done its gonna be soooo sweet. I do miss that car, should all be done for the end of July, it needs to be cos its wanted on a stand at USC, so much to do in such short time.

Anyway, I have also been working on a new website for some friends who own a Construction company, it has took me ages, I start something, finish it, then decide that I dont like it and go back and make a load of changes, think its the best way really, these things have to be right, company image is everything.
Got to about 9.30pm and I needed a break from the PC, so dropped Ian a message to see if he was doing anything (Ian, is the lad who runs Cruise East Car Club, met him at Modified Nationals and he just happens to live round the corner). We headed off into Wisbech and he took me round the local meeting points and introduced me to a few of the locals, nice bunch a people, I stand out like a sore thumb though with my accent. I do miss the Wednesday meets at the Early Doors back in ma home town, once the cars done I can go everyone more, I do miss em all, ALOT.
Me & Ian had a chat about website stuff and he’s decided he wants some help with his, web hosting and then a new messageboard installin, I’m sure we can sort something out there.

Me & Vicky have been OK today, she has been a bit down and has had alot on her mind, and I’ve got alot on mine too and it makes us clash a bit at times. We’re cool though. I hope everything goes to plan for her. She needs to take a chill pill sometimes and not get to infront of herself and worry about things that aint happening yet, all will come in good time. Bless her.

Tomorrow or should i say later on, I have to go to the Solicitors to sort out the house deeds for the house I owned with my ex girlfriend, what a nightmare that has been, the whole thing has ripped me apart, even though it was me who ended it and did not wanna give things another go, I know I made the right choice for both of us and we have both moved on and are happier. Time to rid myself of all ownership of the house, two months down the line.

Think thats it for today, nothing more to add, not that I need to write about anyway, its 3.13am and I’m struggling to stay awake.

Had a few distractions over the past day or two, things just dont seem right in that head of mine, too much going off and too much time being spent on the PC, and theres so much to do.

However, I am getting down in slowly but surely. I keep feeling the need for a cigarette, I have stopped completely recently, used to have a few a day, getting some serious cravings..
T Mobile have messed my phone up big style, I have ported an old orange number to it cos I like the number so yesterday when it went over, i could call out and the new number would be displayed on the phone your callin, BUT, try calling me back and its dead, nice one, they said they’d have it sorted asap, woke up this morning and its still dud.

I text or called quite a few people yesterday, and if they tried to text or call back, they’d have been spun out. If any of you are reading this, I’m sorry, T Mobile have screwed up, they ensure me that it willl be back online later today. Good old technology eh, what would we do without it.

haha, well, where do I start, I was gonna start this on Sunday evening, but got distracted and went to bed.

I have been building version 2 of my site (http://www.daveunwin.co.uk) as you have probably seen already, this is alot easier on the eye than the last one, and I prefer it to the old version.
Me & Olly have been banging our heads together and have sorted a few more things out, we are on the way to getting our new ideas put into action and should have the new site sorted very soon.

Maxxd has been down due to a server migration, so I have made time to work on myspace and pimp it up as they say, and have also found more old school friends, I am amazed by it, i really am. Also found out that a girl I went to school with who was friends with me and Ste (ko) is now in a girl band (http://www.stonefoxxuk.com), Stacey’s her name, she was into acting an that at school and everyone knew she would be a high flyer, I am really pleased for her, if you get to read this Stace, well done, i wish you all the best.

Myspace has really took me by surprise, I have never been into things like this before but its amazing how you can find old friends so easily and of course make new ones.

Its good to network and hear what other people think about different things that are happening in the UK, like the goverment for example, what the hell is goin on there? I best not start, or I wont stop.

I cannot wait to get the car back on the road, ordered my NEW paint yesterday, that should be delivered on Wednesday, just waiting for the bumpers now and I can get it all down to the bodyshop. Going for a mag feature as soon as its finished and will start my journeys around the UK cruising scene once again, networking with other clubs, meetin new people and spreadin the word about Maxxd, this is something Me & Olly used to do alot of, but due to personal circumstances, kinda got held back and could not do as much, that is about to change..

As for my love life, don’t know what to say, I have met someone, as you may have read earlier on, I just don’t know what to do anymore, she tells me all the nice things over MSN, but when we talk on the phone or whatever, its different, I can’t put my finger on it, but I feel that I try very hard to make an effort, we live 60 miles apart which proves difficult at times, but i get the feeling that its always me that makes the effort and puts words into actions, maybe I am getting the wrong end of the stick, who knows.

I do ask myself, am I getting the piss taken out of me ? or am I being paranoid, maybe if she spoke to me and told me over the phone exactly how it is or what she’s thinkin , i’d be able to make sense of it. I have come out of a long term relationship about two months ago, we had a strong bond between us, our cars, our own house, two cats,it all gradually broke down.

It broke my heart, going from having everything I ever wanted to living back with a parent and not having much left but debt, it was such a hard knock and has took me a while to get my head straight again. I do feel stronger now though, alot stronger.
However, the good side is that I can now concentrate more on those things I have neglected for so long.. Me, my health, the relationship with my Dad (i will blog about that, its a biggy, we aint had anything to do with each other for years)…. Maxxd, the Business, and when i get my car back, i can see my mates more often.

I do not mind travelling to see them and hope that they will come up to my neck of the woods too at some point, Olly, Scott, Ko & Daz are more than likel to come up soon, for the Peterborough Cruise, Daz needs to check out the fishing spots round here, and we all should go shooting, they’d love it.

Anyways, I’m gonna get off, and carry on with my work, I have a Construction website to finish, MaxxDirectory work to do (the few php bits, is being outsourced now, thanks to Eoin, I owe you one mate), then Thursday nite, me & olly are sorting our other website out. So, all is good..
