What a weekend…. Loads of modified cars, loads of suped up drag/strip cars, hot rods, and racing.
It was the second time i’d been to USC, and what a wicked show it was.
Friday night was the mash up, I had no sleep whatsoever – Me, Wardo, Mason, Becki & Laura managed to stay up all night. I know how us lads managed to stay up all night but no idea how the girls did as they were being sensible. Thanks to you all for a top weekend
 – It was nice to spend time with people I don’t get to see very often, i do miss you all.
I would like to turn the clock back and make a few changes, and maybe something could have been a bit different. Suppose its down to age and experience
Saturday about 8am, I dragged myself to the main show area to put my car on the STX Styling stand, don’t know how I managed it as I was still mangled from the night before, I had never looked so rough in my life. With the help of Miss Starlet I parked the car on the stand, had a brief chat with Clive the STX man and crawled back to the campsite to attempt to get myself back to normal. Thanks for the guidance there, I think I’d have found somewhere to sit down and not got back up without you.
The sun was out all day, it was red hot and I kept tellin myself I’m ok, I dont feel rough and the feeling will go away. 6 hours, loads of water and a few more beers later, I felt no better, and found myself with a very painful headache. Surely I should have stopped drinkin but its the weekend, these shows dont come about very often so i’ll enjoy it and recover next week. The day soon turned to evening and then came another evening of madness. Everyone was a bit quiter and I only had a few beers before heading to bed about midnight (still feeling dog rough)
Sunday morning came and yet again (like at most shows) I was awoken by the bass from Scotts Car, something that has happened at most shows. Not that I mind cos without it I would have been late for the show and shine. I felt a lot better that Saturday, still a bit shady, but good enough.
Spent most of the day watching the racing and things such as the Jet engined car do 200mph up the strip and hundreds of people raggin their cars up the strip. One day I WILL have a faster engine and I WILL beat Scoobies up the track. That day is approaching by the way, I’ll tell you more later on
The car has had loads of attention, STX like it, TSW love it and the mags are wanting to feature it as soon as the interior and ICE is sorted. Maybe even able to get a front cover..
Sunday seemed to drag, I couldnt get my car off the stand until late on so I chilled out for a bit, had a massive waterfight, ate more food and waited for the cues to clear up.
Left about 5-6pm, headed down the M1 all the way back to Mansfield and got pulled over just near junction 27 for having NO number plates (ooops)
Quality weekend, roll on Trax.
Thanks to all who made it a wicked weekend. See you soon
