Since my last post we have mostly been working on our online marketing.
The first website is Gourmet Ingredient which helps people find local restaurants. This was setup back in October 2007 and has been in development ever since. The restaurant industry is huge and unfortunately there are alot of sites out there that are innaccurate and do now do what they are supposed to.
The idea was to provide a useful website to help people from all over the UK find a place to eat within an area of their choice. This has been acheived and the site now consists of over 2500 restaurants, with more being added by the day. There is an online booking system for those who opt to use it not to mention advertising menus etc..
Following a recent internet survey, we have discovered that 35% of people looking for a restaurant would look online with an amazing 39% willing to book online.
Now that we have everything we need to proceed with the sales and marketing, we aim to make this site the UK’s biggest, most comprehensive “find a local restaurant” site. Press releases have been sent out to many national and local newspapers so hopefully, the word shall spread. We have also created a facebook page which helps with the viral marketing.
Another latest development is aimed at people looking for car breakers
The site is in the early stages but is already working its way up google for searches such as; car breakers, vw breakers, audi breakers, etc etc. Again, like Gourmet, we aim for this to become the biggest and most comprehensive car breakers site, getting thousands, eventually millions of hits from all over the country.
Online marketing is one of our strong points, anyone can have a website built, alot of people can do web design themselves but if you are not getting traffic then you may as well not bother. Every one of our sites has been optimised for search engines and we have now found practical methods of getting to the top and are using these to our advantage.
