We have been running google adsense for quite a while now on many of our sites. I still do not understand the whole logic behind it, I know how it makes money but looking at the reports its hard to tell exactly what goes off.
Revenue is made by us advertising text, link and banner ads on various parts of our sites, and people clicking on them. I also think that the page impressions make up for some of the revenue but am not 100% certain.
Most of the ads tend to be relative to the content of your site, maybe we are displaying low revenue ads?
The main ones are for things such as alloy wheels and modified car insurance
The others tend to be adverts for companies such as Peugeot, Track Days and Car Parts.
The plan for the future is to make at least £2000.00 a month from adsense, at the moment we are nowhere near that but it is picking up slowly but surely.
Is there a knack to it though, or is it just about getting more traffic to your site and attracting more page impressions and clicks?
There are people out there making £millions per year from it, but how, there must be something we dont know or have missed ?
