After a few months of an Indian company doing search engine optimisation on one of our test sites it was very clear to me that their apparent SEO skills were not as good as they were claiming. I soon sacked off the indian seo firm and for some reason to this day, the links they set up are still pointing to the site. Luckily it has not affected the website is a negative way as it was a test for the seo company in India.

I have today been approached again by a SEO India Company again claiming to be able to give page one results and a cheap seo link building service. My trust has totally gone with them so I will not be using an Indian company to do seo, search engine optimisation or any aspect of link building.

I understand that its dangerous but at the same time why would such a story make front page news AND the East Midlands today website and main news?

I was disgusted that such a story could make such headlines and that the police seem to be bending over backwards to find the people involved.

A total waste of police time…

Straight away I had to make a comment on the Chad website, I used to read the paper every week and over the past few years the stories have gone from bad to worse. My point was this:

Why is there such a story on the front page? Surely there are more important things that could have made the front page. Warning the people of Mansfield about the bad ice, stories about the old lady being attacked and robbed or maybe even the story about the man who rescued his autistic son? But NO!!!! They put this crap on the front page instead!!

There are a few comments on the Chad site and many more to come no doubt, we seem to have started a little discussion……

Since September of last year I have been using facebook alot more and have made quite a few pages and groups for various things that we do. Facebook ALLOW users to create fan pages and groups for more or less anything and do not charge a penny. They have given businesses the chance to promote themselves too which I have been doing for some time now.

It has not had that much of an effect on us as a business, its definately helped spread the word about the things we do but in no way have we seen any financial gains. With over 2000 people on my friends list, the majority of them being from the modified car scene I feel upset that facebook have banned me for this. Surely this is what social networking is all about? Adding people, making new friends, networking with people who have the same hobbies as you?

I have emailed facebook three times now asking why they have removed me and to try and find out how long until my account can be accessed again. I have lost ALL of my pages, one of which had over 60,000 people registered to and has had alot of time spent on it.

There is still not a reply in my inbox and I dont see them sending me one to be fair. I have emailed the BBC, ITV, Sun, Daily Mirror, Express and a few other newspapers with a little story for them, hopefully someone will pick this up and do some kind of article. I am not happy with being banned not to mention the other people this has happened to.

What people do not realise is that every time they log onto facebook, create a new group or page that they are infact making facebook MORE money and increasing the whole facebook network, me for one has done a hell of alot on there and must have generated facebook millions more page impressions.

Fingers crossed that something will happen soon, either my account is reactivated or someone for the press contacts me…..
