On Monday 17th November Olly & I attended the LEO Dragons Den Event which was held at the Icon Business Offices near Junction 27 off the M1.
Schools from Ashfield, Mansfield & Bolsover were invited to present their ideas for a new charity.
It was an all day event and we met some really enthusiastic kids, or should I say young adults.
It was amazing to see so many young people working together on new ideas, some of which had real potential. Their enthusiasm and professionalism was absolutely fantastic.
We spent all day working along side them, giving them advice and questioning their reasons and methods, then towards the end they all had to present to the Dragons in order to get put through to the next stage.
Its opened our eyes so much and has given us some new ideas for the business. We are hoping to get more involved with helping local schools and their pupils next year. We would like to encourage more young people into setting up their own online businesses.
